Marshal is designed with your privacy as a priority. We collect no personal data, transmit nothing to external servers, and store everything locally on your device.
Data Collection
We do not collect:
- Personal information or identifiers
- Location or GPS data
- Usage analytics or telemetry
- Race results, lap times, or performance data
- Device information or diagnostics
We do not use:
- Third-party analytics services
- Advertising networks
- Crash reporting services
- Any external data collection tools
Local Storage
All data you create in Marshal is stored locally on your device:
- Garage Data — Tracks, drivers, and vehicles you create
- Race History — Session results and lap times
- Settings — Your app preferences and defaults
This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export or share it.
Bluetooth Usage
Marshal uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to communicate with timing hardware:
- Bluetooth is used solely to connect to timing decoders
- No data is transmitted to external servers via Bluetooth
- Connection is only established with devices you explicitly select
- The app requests Bluetooth permission on first use
Data Sharing
Marshal does not share any data with third parties. Period.
The only way data leaves your device is when you explicitly:
- Use the share button to export race results
- Create a device backup (iCloud or local)
Data Retention
Your data remains on your device until you:
- Delete it within the app
- Delete the app entirely
- Clear your device storage
We have no access to your data and cannot delete it remotely.
Children’s Privacy
Marshal does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. The app does not require account creation or collect personal information of any kind.
Changes to This Policy
If we update this privacy policy, the changes will be reflected in app updates. The “Last updated” date at the top indicates when the policy was last revised.
