Leagues

How do I create a league?

When you first sign in, you can create a new league and invite friends using a share link or invite code.

How do I join a league?

Tap the invite link sent by a league admin, or enter the invite code manually from the join screen.

Can I be in multiple leagues?

Yes! You can create or join multiple leagues. Switch between them from the Settings tab.

Picks

When do I need to make my picks?

Picks lock before qualifying starts for each race weekend. You’ll see a countdown timer showing how much time you have left.

Can I change my picks after submitting?

Yes, you can edit your picks any time before they lock. Once locked, they’re final.

What if I forget to make picks?

If you don’t submit picks before the lock time, you’ll score zero points for that round. Set a reminder!

What are the pick categories?

  • Best — Pick a driver you think will finish on the podium. P1 = 5 pts, P2 = 3 pts, P3 = 1 pt.
  • Worst — Pick a driver you think will DNF (Did Not Finish). Correct = 3 pts.
  • Fastest Lap — Pick who sets the fastest lap. Correct = 1 pt.
  • Sprint Winner — Pick the sprint race winner (sprint weekends only). Correct = 3 pts.

Spoilers

How does spoiler protection work?

Race results stay hidden until you tap “I Watched” on the event detail screen. This lets you open the app without worrying about seeing results you haven’t watched yet.

Do spoilers expire?

Yes — spoiler protection for a race automatically expires once the next race gets underway. This keeps the standings accurate for everyone.

How do I sign in?

Open Wheelers uses Sign in with Apple — just tap the button and you’re in. No passwords needed.

How do I change my display name or avatar?

Go to Settings and tap your profile at the top to edit your display name or choose a new avatar photo.

Troubleshooting

The app isn’t loading my league data

Check your internet connection and try again. If the problem persists, try signing out and back in.
