What it is
Sojourn is a bedtime storytelling experience designed for two people. One reads aloud. The other listens. Together, you move through a story that unfolds over three, five, or seven nights — shaped by the choices you make along the way.
Every story is written and edited before it reaches you. The choices you make steer your way through it, and no two paths are quite alike. The world remembers what happened last night and evolves quietly between visits.
How it works
- Three, five, or seven nights — each session is a complete evening, designed to be read aloud in about ten minutes
- Choices shape the path — gentle forks in the narrative let the reader steer without pressure or consequence
- The world remembers — details accumulate across sessions, giving the story texture and continuity
- Built for sleep — pacing decelerates through each session, ambient audio fades, and the screen dims progressively
- Hidden variation — re-reads feel subtly different through layered variation in prose, scenes, and sensory detail
- Narrator mode — for the nights nobody can read, or when both of you would rather listen, a narrator reads it instead and the score plays the same either way
The experience
Sojourn is a ritual — a reason to put down the phone, turn toward someone, and share a quiet story before sleep. The reader discovers what happens next. The listener drifts. There is a narrator for the nights that need one, but the voice it’s built around is yours.
