How do I create a league?
When you first sign in, you can create a new league and invite friends using a share link or invite code.
How do I join a league?
Tap the invite link sent by a league admin, or enter the invite code manually from the join screen.
Can I be in multiple leagues?
Yes! You can create or join multiple leagues. Switch between them from the Settings tab.
Which competitions are supported?
Water Carriers launches with the Premier League and the 2026 World Cup, with more competitions on the way.
Picks
When do I need to make my picks?
Picks lock at the first kickoff of each matchweek — or each round, during the World Cup. You’ll see a countdown showing how long you have left.
Can I change my picks after submitting?
Yes, you can edit your picks any time before they lock. Once locked, they’re final for that round.
What if I forget to make picks?
If you don’t submit before the lock time, you score zero for that round. Set a reminder!
What are the pick categories?
You make three picks each round, and each one scores 3 points for first, 2 for second, and 1 for third:
- Podium — the player with the most goal contributions (goals + assists)
- Engine — the best creator who doesn’t score: assists plus shots on target
- Shield — the best defensive outfield player: tackles, interceptions, and blocks
Why can’t I pick goalkeepers?
Water Carriers is about outfield players doing the work that wins matches. Keepers sit this one out.
Account
How do I sign in?
Water Carriers uses Sign in with Apple — just tap the button and you’re in. No passwords needed.
How do I change my display name or avatar?
Go to Settings and tap your profile at the top to edit your display name or choose a new avatar photo.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings, tap your profile, and choose Delete Account. This permanently removes your account and associated data.
Troubleshooting
The app isn’t loading my league data
Check your internet connection and try again. If the problem persists, try signing out and back in.
